Go Alan and Patti 2019

Yes, it was a bit whirlwind as the description sounds.  But not so bad.  A week with Patrick, Annie, Carole, Vincent et Mailis (our best French friends) in France.  Followed by a tour of eastern France (Strasbourg), then Germany (Lubeck), then Denmark (Copenhagen).  And finally Sweden (Stockholm and Linkoping - pronounced Lincherping).  And we flew to Greece for a week.  It does sound a little whirlwind. And Patti got a new beret! Our best friends in France!  Carole, Annie et Patrick. Picnics on the beautiful coast of Brittany. Et Mademoiselle Glace.  La glace ne fait que paraître plus grosse que sa tête. (try Google Translate) Leaving Brittany in the north west of France, we took the high speed trains to Strasbourg in the east side of France.  Traveling at 300 to 350 kilometers per hour (or about 190 to 220 miles an hour).  So fast that we arrived before we left. In February we traveled to visit our friends Vardhan and Madhvi in Calgary.  We appreciated their hospitality and we had a great time.  Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures of the two of them, so here is an older picture (they haven't changed a bit).  :-) And it was cold!  Minus 20 to 30 degrees Centigrade cold.  We ice skated and skied and hot tubbed.  This is a brief post since it was a while ago, but we had a great time and were glad to get back to an early spring in Virginia.
